I love to read as well as to write. On this page, I want to shout out some of my favorite works of fiction. This is my personal best list. Everyone should have their own.
This sensational novel (and not a bad movie that sprouted from it) is Flynn's third and by far her best. The savage pas-de-deux of this married couple, bound together by betrayal and vengeance, employs, as far as I know, the only use of a diary to indict a person for a crime he never committed.
Stein's marvelous story, with one of the best-voiced narrators of all time, human or not, will make any one, possibly including the dead, melt. And cry. And I hear that Patrick Dempsey, Dr. McDreamy, has an option to turn it into a movie.
What lengths will you go as an elite athlete to make your dream come true? What lengths will your parents go to? If you really want to find out, read this sobering novel by a master storyteller.
My sixth novel: Stand Your Ground -- a timely psychological mystery standing at the intersection of guns and race in America.
